When you connect your Instagram account through Meta’s authorization flow, we receive a limited set of information needed to provide the service:

• Your Instagram account ID, username, and profile metadata.
• Direct messages sent to and from your account while the integration is active.
• Message metadata such as timestamps, sender IDs, and delivery status.
• Authorization tokens issued by Meta. We never receive or store your Instagram password.

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate and send AI-powered replies to your DMs.
• Qualify leads and surface relevant conversations to you.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the DM Setter service.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers that help us operate DM Setter (for example, hosting, analytics, and AI model providers), under contracts that require them to protect your data.
• Meta / Instagram, as required to deliver messages on your behalf via their official APIs.
• Authorities, when we are legally required to disclose information or to protect the rights, safety, and property of DM Setter or others.

We retain your account information and message history for as long as your account is connected to DM Setter, and for a limited period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your data at any time by disconnecting your Instagram account or contacting us.

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular reviews of our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

You can:

• Disconnect DM Setter at any time from your Instagram settings or from within our app.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
• Opt out of non-essential communications from us at any time.

DM Setter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

DM Setter may be operated and your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live. By using the service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the service.
